Godavari Bund(Bridge), Rajahmundry 

Spanning across 2.1 km atop the River Godavari in the city of Rajahmundry, in the state of Andhra Pradesh, Godavari Bridge is India’s third-largest rail cum road truss bridge. Also known as Kovvur- Rajahmundry Bridge, the bridge is also a major source of tourism as it offers picturesque views of the golden sun setting on the horizon and merging with the shining water of the Godavari. Known to be synonymous with the arts and culture of the city, the bridge has a road deck over a single-track rail deck.





Iskcon Temple Rajahmundry , Rajahmundry 

One of the most famous temples in Andhra Pradesh, Iskcon Temple is a recreational center in Rajahmundry. It is known as the second-largest Iskcon Temple in the Southern region of India after the Iskcon in Bangalore. Also known as Gowthami Ghat, this temple is a popular worship spot and is definitely worth a visit. 

Built across 2 acres of land on the banks of the Godavari River, this temple was created by the Iskcon group which stands for International Society for Krishna Consciousness and is a temple primarily dedicated to Lord Krishna. Many Rishis are believed to have performed Tapasya or prayer here and have a few alternative names such as Sri Gopinath Temple and Ramananda Raya Gaudiya Math since it is believed that Sri Chaitanya and Ramananda Raya exchanged words on this site. It is one of the most modern temples with a number of facilities available for tourists and should be on the list for those who wish to see Hindu culture in South India.



Aryabhatta Science Centre & Museum




Aryabhata Science Museum is developed and maintained by Aryabhata Science and Technology Society. The Museum and a knowledge center were established on 20-11-2006 by the President, Mr.P.Satyanarayana Murty a retired principal and a passionate teacher in Housing Board Colony, Rajahmundry, East Godavari District, Andhra Pradesh in the accommodation of 8 rooms in the 1st and 2nd floors of the building. On the 3rd floor, there is 36 feet long concrete model of an Aeroplane structure.

Sir Arthur Cotton Museum, Rajahmundry 

Constructed in 1988, this museum is dedicated to the memory of Sir Arthur Cotton who was the mastermind behind the transformation of the ferocious Godavari river into a tame force useful for irrigation and water supply.

He is popularly known as the 'Delta Architect' of the Godavari district. the museum chronicles his work through pictures.




Sri Kandukuri Veeresalingam Pantulu House

this was the official residence of the legendary Social reformer & Telugu literary giant, Sri Kandukuri Veeresalingam Pantulu Garu (c.1848-1919 CE). This is now sort of a museum maintained by the AP Archeology department with no charge of fees. The premises also possesses personal things & correspondence of Pantulu garu along with a separate building built for his beloved wife, Smt' Rajyalakshmamma. The first widow remarriage among upper-caste Hindus in the entire South India region was performed here on 11th, December 1881
